These works were painted “en plein air”. Plein Air refers to a manner painting outdoors that is connected to French impressionism from the 19th-century style.
I enjoy painting outside for the challenge of capturing a moment in moving light and varying weather. Sometimes I revisit these works as inspiration for a studio piece.
